The car has 90,000 miles on it and seems to becoming down with quite a few electrical problems. The outside of the car is nice looking, but I personally feel it's a mix of trying to be hip and new, and also still looking like a "Grandma" car. I however did not like the extremely light color of the interior and that has proven to be on ongoing issue on how to keep it clean. I felt like my passengers sitting in the back seat weren't going to be forced to sit right on top of each other and actually had room to relax. My first reaction to it was I really enjoyed the fact that for a car it was extremely roomy. I bought this car because I needed one immediately due to my last one breaking down.

Another option is building pathways that would allow SUNY Broome students to transfer into Binghamton’s MENA program after earning their associate degree, Schull said. SUNY Broome students, for example, may be able to take Arabic or Turkish language courses at Binghamton. Drawing on the program’s strength and the NRC funds, Binghamton will be able to support area studies at SUNY Broome and SUNY Purchase through faculty development and the creation of learning modules in a range of pertinent areas, from the social sciences and languages to business and environmental studies. The funds will support Binghamton’s work in Middle East and North Africa studies, including language classes, and curricular content and outreach to K-12 schools, SUNY Broome Community College and SUNY Purchase, which is designated as a Minority Serving Institution (MSI). It would be tough for Cruise, reunited with director Christiopher McQuarrie, to top Ghost Protocol's Burj Khalifa climb, but Fallout makes up for in sheer ridiculous quantity what it lacks in mind-boggling height. The most recent installment in the franchise sets Cruise's Ethan Hunt against the Apostles, a spinoff terrorist faction of those he and his team fought against in the previous films, who are dead-set on obtaining a bunch of plutonium and doing some terrible things with it. It would be so easy for the modern Mission: Impossible movies to become stunt showcases for Cruise's pathological commitment to realism at the expense of a good story, but, luckily for us and cinema itself, that hasn't happened yet. By the end, you don't know whether to howl with laughter or sigh with relief. In the opening sequence, Bird stages a prison escape like a musical number, letting Ethan Hunt crack skulls to the tune of Dean Martin's "Ain't That a Kick in the Head." Yes, there's still plenty of spy intrigue, including some amusing twists involving Jeremy Renner's younger agent, but the movie really works best as a series of escalating gags, like a Jackass movie with a more convoluted plot. Bird and Cruise understand that seeing the hero screw up is often more exciting than watching him succeed. For all its white-knuckle suspense and unbearable tension, the most memorable moments of Ghost Protocol are comedic: Cruise failing to make a jump from one part of a skyscraper to another, struggling to get a mask made in time, and hurling a car off a parking structure like it's a boomerang. Abrams-directed third entry, the Mission: Impossible series got a jolt of adrenaline via Incredibles filmmaker Brad Bird, who re-emphasized the teamwork aspect of the series while pushing the stunt work to new levels of live-action cartoonery. Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011)Īfter the J.J. It may be a controversial film, with its portrayal of an able-bodied actor playing a disabled character, but there's certainly an earnestness to Cruise and Hoffman's chemistry that makes this a tearjerker to remember. As a condescending, desperate wheeler-dealer who comes around to caring for his brother and ultimately learns Las Vegas schemes aren't what's best for him, Cruise plays his cards delicately throughout Charlie's emotional journey. While Dustin Hoffman's attentive performance as Raymond, an autistic savant, may be the standout, the buddy road movie is carried just as much by Cruise's smarmy yet thoughtful role as Ray's estranged brother Charlie, who re-enters Raymond's life when he's left with their father's estate. Barry Levinson's Rain Man was one of those dramas, sweeping the 1989 Academy Awards with four major wins but no nomination for Cruise. Paramount PicturesĬruise really seemed to want an Oscar in the '80s, starring in awards-caliber dramas before turning into a full-blown franchise star. With Top Gun: Maverick-the long, long-awaited sequel to the 1986 classic-barrel-rolling into theaters May 27, we're looking back at Tom Cruise's best performances. And what better way to get butts into theaters than one more fly-by as one of the Navy's finest fighter pilots? But despite everything that makes him an unrelatable freak, at the end of the day he's just a guy who wants to get back to the movies. (Yes, the man flies his own aircraft carriers and leaps off his own cliffs-if there's a life-threatening stunt, he's going to do it his damn self.) At the same time, we've also probably seen too much of his life through his many high-profile relationships and breakups, the infamous couch-jumping, and of course the Scientology of it all. From his early-'80s debut in Endless Love, Taps, and The Outsiders, he quickly became one of Hollywood's most bankable blockbuster stars while finding time to swerve into unhinged weirdo territory (e.g., Magnolia) and chew on meatier roles (e.g., Born on the Fourth of July) to prove his acting chops beyond the archetypical action-movie protagonist with a death wish. A man who's spent 40-plus years (and counting) at the tippy-top of the A-list, Cruise has endured a lifetime of stratospheric fame. When people say celebrities are just like us, they're definitely not talking about Tom Cruise. Could I do without some of them? I can always live with fewer razors. they are going to stick around permanently. I have the same problem has: the last group of razors I've purchased have all been so good. ![]() I know it's just the first shave but it went well. I'm sure I could use their 0.95 OC in either titanium or stainless steel, but based on today's shave, I don't need the extra efficiency. I now have the Bronze 0.38 and just shaved for the first time with the Ti 0.68OC. On the Timeless razor front: I've owned the Ti Crown handles for quite a while but I only recently purchased an actual razor from them. Of course, some of my shiny razor heads get a polished Ti Crown attached to them. I've been able to match several of my stainless steel razor heads in brushed or matte finishes pretty closely. If you want to lighten them up a bit, Simichrome works very well. if price is an issue, they almost always have Matte Finish Ti Crowns in their scratch and dent section. This has got to stop.Click to expand.Add to that. So that's thirteen razors in less than 90 days. But I've bought three more since Tuesday. So I should have said I bought ten razors since June. Looking back through my choked email inbox, I realize I got that sale promotion for the Mergress in June, not April. I recommend giving it a go if you get a chance at one. It's too nice a tool to not make it work. I've already had a few good shaves with it, and after I use it enough to figure it out, I expect it'll become one of my regulars. I don't think the Timeless Aluminum will be the R41 killer, but it's a worthy addition to my stable. In the last four months, I've bought ten razors, 650 blades, four brushes, three soaps, and two aftershaves! But to quote Elwood Blues, "I'm on a mission from God!" I'm determined to find a razor/blade/soap combination that gives me an R41 shave without the R41 hazard to my chin. I fell back into the abyss of shaving equipment and supplies accumulation hell. Naturally, I had to get back on the shave forums to read up on the new razor and how people were using it. I've been curious about the Progress/Mergress for years, and I thought I might as well use that sale price as an excuse to give it try. Then this past April I got an email promotion for Mergress razors on sale. Just been trying to use up the stuff I had with my trusty favorite razors and brushes. Hanging out on these forums causes me to accumulate stuff I don't need! I hadn't bought any new shave stuff in four years. I've stayed away from these shave forums since late 2014 or early '15 because I had enough razors and blades and brushes and soaps and creams and aftershaves to last three sane people twenty years. I'd shave with one of those a time or two before putting it back in the drawer and going back to old reliable R41. I'd occasionally pull out the NEW SC or LC, or the Fatip or Plisson, or the '34 Aristocrat, or the Red Tip, or whatever caught my eye in the drawer. It's my reference for efficiency, and I suppose for aggressiveness too. I shaved with an R41 almost exclusively for the past four years. The Timeless Aluminum is a different experience for me. ![]() An R41 feels aggressive, and is efficient. I don't have another razor with this combination. That's what I mean about the lack of efficiency. After one pass, there's a lot more stubble left than I would have guessed based on how prominent the blade feels against my face and how much noise the razor makes. But I have to work harder to get the same smoothness of shave with it than I do with several other razors. ![]() That's what I mean about its aggressiveness. It feels and sounds like it's doing some serious whisker removal, and it'll nick my chin or neck if I get too careless or apply too much pressure. By odd I mean it has an unusual combination of aggressiveness and lack of efficiency. The Timeless razor is an odd one to me so far. The difference is that the Lupo doesn't look heavy! I really like the looks of the Timeless. I'm still getting used to the lightness of it, along with a Lupo I recently got. The razor's light weight is a surprise to the hand every time I pick it up, because its size makes it look like it should be heavier. (Thanks Oleg!) I've had about a half dozen shaves with it so far. I got one from a member here a couple of weeks ago. ![]() Meanwhile, it is established that the relationship between Susan and her husband Hutton ( Armie Hammer) is strained and that he is being unfaithful to her.
